This past Saturday February 2nd, 2013 had a chance to visit an open house for Mitzy Beverly Hills. Racks of dresses and mannequins with evening gowns adorn the showroom. Quinceanera dresses in many colors and designs. Mitzy is a Mexican Designer that is very well known in Mexico for designing dresses for celebrities. Here in the U.S his claim to fame came from designing a dress for Thalia (Mrs. Tommy Motola’s wedding dress) back in the 90’s among others. I had the pleasure to meet Liliana Miranda, who was there to represent Mitzy (he wasn’t  available that day). She gave me a tour of the 2 story showroom and great insight to the idea behind the store. Mitzy Beverly hills is for today’s Latina woman and her coming of age daughter. They can pick from beautiful couture dresses in every color in the rainbow or get a custom design. Dresses start at about three thousand dollars and go up from there. I over heard a San Diego mother with tears in her eyes btw, saying how her daughter would have what she couldn’t have. Mitzy dresses represent that and more. As an event planner for the Latina consumer who demands way more than your average catalog ball gown this is a good place to visit. I could see my clients ordering a dreamy gown, renting a limo for the afternoon, having tea on the 2nd floor loft area of the shop while her daughter and amigas giggle and snap pictures of the one of a kind gown, All in Beverly hills.  The upscale home in Beverly hills for today’s Latinas. Claro que si…! (sshhh! I have 5 $250.00 off vouchers valid thru May 2013, contact us via email for details on how to get one)
